Pele’s Wood Fire – Jacksonville, FL
I have been eating at Lolas Burrito Joint, Soup’s On, and Sushi Cafe and I always drive by Pele’s Wood Fire. After reading the Nifty Cupcakes review I decided that’s it i’m going!
Red Sauce Pizzas
My friend ordered THE GARDEN SANDWICH – Cream cheese, kalamata olives, cucumbers, fresh spinach, tomato and the Chicken Soup. My friend enjoyed the sandwich and said it was the perfect blend of simple ingredients. We both loved the soup. The soup is $4 for a full bowl and $2 for the half. This soup was as good if not better than Soup’s On down the road.
After a thorough menu study, we decided to split THE SALUMIST – Pizzaiolo sauce, sopressata, Italian sausage, pancetta, hand-pulled mozzarella, basil. I couldn’t believe how good the pizza was. Our waitress Katie said that they only use organic ingredients. They should put that on the menu. A couple of the slices of pizza were pretty burnt, you can see the huge black tumor on the left side, but she said thats part of the cooking process. I thought it was a little excessive on the last 2-3 slices, but the pizza is cooked at 800 degrees.

-Service is awesome, attentive, and she knew about the food
-Food is super fresh and delicious
-The place is really nice inside and out. The bathroom was luxurious, it reminded me of Vegas. I want my house bathroom to look like that and they even have the thing where you swipe your hand by the door so you don’t have to touch the door. They have a nice little private room for parties that I’d like to reserve ASAP for a nom nom party.
-None, I was so happy with everything that I went back the next day!
The Bottom Line
This place is LEGIT! Super clean, great food, great service.
